Make it a taco night at your house (it can be any night of the week not just Taco Tuesday) with this mouth-watering recipe! These combinations of flavors are great together with the added bonus of the Omega-3’s you will get from our 100% grass fed ground beef.
|Prep Time: 10 minutes||Cook Time: 25 minutes||Serves: 4-6|
|1 lb||Western Grassfed Ground Beef|
|1 large||Yellow onion, finely chopped. Reserve 2 tbsp|
|Salt and fresh ground black pepper|
|Spice Mix (see below)|
|4 tbsp||Olive oil|
|3 tbsp||Tomato paste|
|2 tbsp||Water (if needed to thin out sauce)|
|1 tsp||Garlic powder|
|1 tbsp||Chili powder|
|1/2 tsp||Ground cumin|
8-12 6-inch Corn or Flour Tortillas
Optional Toppings- Cilantro, Chopped Lettuce, Diced Jalapenos, Pickled Jalapenos, Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream, Pico de Gallo, Guacamole
In a large heavy skillet preheated over medium high heat, add onions to dry pan and stir until hissing. Then add oil and continue to cook until onions are nicely brown.
Add spice mix, tomato paste and Western Grassfed Ground Beef to skillet with the onions. Use a spoon to break up meat and cook together for another 5-8 minutes.
Season with sea salt and freshly ground pepper to your liking and add water as needed to thin out the sauce.
Reduce heat to low and simmer until ready to serve.
Heat tortillas in a hot skillet with a drop of oil.
Serve the taco meat in tortillas and add your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
